UNION CARPENTRY · FINISH AND MILLWORK · HARDWARE
Your vision. Our craftsmen.
FINISH CARPENTRY AND HARDWARE INSTALLATION SERVICES ACROSS NEW ENGLAND.
Quality that matters
Quality that matters · Union carpenters
Career carpenters, not day labor.
Our installers are journeymen in the North Atlantic States Regional Council of Carpenters. They chose this trade for life because it takes care of their families, so the crew that starts your job finishes it.
Our approach · Layout
Laid out from the latest drawings.
The current drawing set comes to the work area with us, so layout is done from the latest revision, not an old printout. A conflict caught at layout costs minutes. Caught after install, it costs days.
Foremen are required to be proficient in:
- Documentation control and print reading
- Technical writing
- Procore, Bluebeam, BIM and PlanGrid
Our approach · Tools
The best tools, on your jobsite.
We invest in the best tools available and keep up with what's new, including at the trade shows.
- The best tools available
- Current with what's new
Quality that matters · Clean air
Dust and VOC control.
Every saw and sander runs into a HEPA dust extractor that captures 99.97% of particles down to 0.3 microns. We use low-VOC glues and adhesives to protect your space once it's occupied. The site stays safer for every trade and occupant, and our carpenters get to enjoy a healthy retirement.
Quality that matters · AWI standards
Installed the way the spec is written.
Architects specify woodwork to AWI standards. Our crews are trained to the current AWI finish carpentry and installation standard: scribes, reveals, fastening and tolerances done the way your specification calls for.
- Trained to current AWI install standards
- Fewer RFIs, cleaner punch lists
Quality that matters · Ongoing training
Journeymen who keep training.
After a four-year apprenticeship, our carpenters keep training at the union's training centers across New England: new systems, new products and current safety certifications.
Our carpenters are encouraged and incentivized to continue their education at the carpenters training center. Classes include:
- Print Reading I & II
- Construction Fall Protection
- Construction Master Pro
- Ergonomics
- First Aid, CPR, AED
- Foreman Training
- Hot Work Permit Certificate
- ICRA
- Mobile Elevating Work Platforms
- OSHA 10 Hour
- OSHA 30 Hour
- Silica Awareness Training
Quality that matters · Safety
Safety is part of the job.
We choose saws with active safety systems, including SawStop's blade-stop technology. Our carpenters wear gloves with an ANSI A4 cut rating and ANSI/ISEA Z89.1 Type 2 hard hats with 4-point chin straps, for top and side impact protection that stays on. Together with ongoing safety training, that keeps our crews safe and our EMR low, so your project carries less risk and fewer surprises.
Crews trained to current AWI install standards.
Union carpenters — lifelong, fully benefited tradespeople.
Institutional and high-end residential work.
